Primary responsibilities include teaching Sports Medicine I and II, afternoon practices and event coverage for assigned teams, and supervision and coordination of Athletic Training Student Aides enrolled in the curriculum. Shelby County Schools in Memphis is looking to hire an athletic trainer (AT) to perform a wide range of responsibilities. Some responsibilities include providing athletic training services for students within the district on site at events and by appointment in the athletic training room. Other tasks may include assistance with determining compliance of district policies, assuring that athletic directors adhere to the proposed guidelines, making sure all student-athletes have physicals and the necessary paperwork to compete safely and other tasks as assigned.
