26TH AATA STATE MEETING & SYMPOSIUM
When: April 20, 2012 - April 22, 2012
Where: Southern Arkansas University, Magnolia, AR
It is that time of year again, time for the Annual AATA State Meeting. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Magnolia. I hope that you have already marked the dates on your calendar. I would like to thank Dr. Steven Tucker and our program committee for the work they have done to secure the speakers for this year’s meeting.
Here are the plans for the weekend:
• Friday April 20th
o Executive Board Meeting (Noon-6:00pm) Any member is welcome to attend.
o There will be a Hospitality Suite Friday evening at the Quality Inn.
• Saturday April 21st
o Registration opens at (7:30am)
o Educational Program (8:30am-5:00pm)
o Committee Meetings (6:00 pm)
o AATA Social/Welcome Reception will be held at the Magnolia Arts Center (7:00pm-Mid-Night)
• Sunday April 22nd
o Registration opens at (7:30am)
o Educational Program (8:30am)
o NATA/SWATA Forum (11:00am)
o AATA Business Meeting (11:30 am)
o Honors-Awards/Hall of Fame Luncheon (12:30pm)
I encourage you to fill out your registration and return it quickly. This is our time to come together and celebrate our profession. We will hear from some of our own members, get new information pertaining to Type I diabetic athletes at the secondary school level, hear about sudden death syndrome in athletes, and celebrate a new inductee into the AATA Hall of Fame. Most of all, this is an election year. It is very important to have you attend and make your vote count!
