About the Arkansas Athletic Trainers’ Association 

The AATA was founded in 1987 in a small meeting room at what is now the Wyndam Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock Arkansas.  In the 1980s, Athletic Trainer were just becoming prominent and were being hired across the country.  Associations began to form as a collective voice for each state’s certified members.  Now with over 400 members, the AATA works to promote and advance the profession of athletic training through membership engagement.  The AATA works to maintain high professional standards, support member education initiatives, and serve as advocates for the physically active population in Arkansas.
