The Athletic Trainer provides a full range of professional athletic training functions for intercollegiate athletic teams and club sport programs. He/she provides education and training in order to prevent athletic injuries; recognizes, evaluates, and provides immediate care of athletic injuries; assists in the rehabilitation and reconditioning of athletes after injuries occur; serves as a liaison between physicians, coaches, athletes and parents; ensures athletes participate only when physically able. This dual-role position combines the responsibilities of providing athletic training services under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer with teaching responsibilities in Sports Medicine, Foundations of Healthcare, or Anatomy and Physiology. Athletic Trainer - Arkansas Children’s/Fayetteville High School
Responsible to recognize, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate participating athletes who have suffered a sports injury or illness as well as provide injury prevention education to those athletes. Responsibilities include coverage of athletic team events and additional special events as assigned. Serves as the primary liaison between the assigned school, the parent/athlete, and appropriate healthcare providers. Responsible for other duties at ACH as assigned.
Sports Medicine Coordinator
Nashville High School is seeking a Sports Medicine Coordinator for grades 10-12. The Coordinator will teach the Career and Technical Education courses. This position requires a 625- Sports Medicine technical permit. This person would be the lead athletic trainer for Nashville High School. Other responsibilities include teaching multiple classes on the CTE Sports Medicine Pathway and scheduling and organizing the athletic trainer interns.
