Young Professional Committee

Mission Statement:

The mission of the Arkansas Athletic Trainers' Association Young Professionals Committee is to identify and address the interests, needs and concerns of young athletic training professionals while developing the future leaders of our association and facilitating open communication to and from all members of the AATA.

The purpose of the Young Professionals Committee is to address issues and engage interest and involvement of athletic trainers with 12 years of certification or less.

Objectives:

  • Engage more YPs and students within the state (social media, educational opportunities, mentorship) 

  • Provide more services to students and try to retain them within the state after they graduate 

  • To help connect and network more within the state amongst YPs and Students 

Members of the Young Professional Committee should ideally possess the following traits:

  1. Ambitious: They have a strong drive to succeed and are highly motivated to achieve their goals.

  2. Leadership: They have leadership qualities, can inspire and influence others, and are willing to take charge and make tough decisions.

  3. Networking: They are skilled at building relationships and making connections with others in their industry or profession.

  4. Team player: They are willing to work collaboratively with others, share ideas, and contribute to the success of the team.

  5. Goal-oriented: They have a clear vision of what they want to achieve and are committed to making progress toward their goals.

  6. Creative: They can think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas and solutions.

  7. Professionalism: They conduct themselves in a professional manner, with a high degree of integrity, honesty, and respect for others.

  8. Time management: They are able to manage their time effectively and prioritize their tasks to ensure they meet their commitments and deadlines.

  9. Communication: They are effective communicators, both verbally and in writing, and are able to articulate their ideas clearly and concisely.

  10. Continuous learning: They are committed to ongoing learning and development, seeking out new opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
